Lintel roller shutters
Lintel roller shutters
If lintel roller shutters are used, the decision should be made when designing the building. The installation of the DK-RKS can be carried out in two parts. In the first part, a box with hard polystyrene is mounted during wall erection. Special roller shutter elements enable a stable connection to the lintel. This contributes to excellent heating of the roller shutter and its invisibility. Secondly, the handrails and the roller shutter are installed - this can be done at any time after the construction has been completed.
Lintels are used as lintels over window openings in perimeter walls. They are load-bearing lintels. They already have thermal insulation built in and form a box for the placement of shading systems (external blinds or shutters). These lintels are designed to shade building openings from 600 mm wide (with additional wall contact insulation, the minimum window width must be greater) up to a maximum clear opening of 3850 mm. The height of the window opening for the installation of external blinds or shutters is a minimum of 600 mm and a maximum of 3000 mm for shutters.
These shutters are used in newly constructed buildings and are a special construction system. The components of this system undoubtedly guarantee a quick and easy adaptation of the shutter to any type of wall. This system ensures secure and stable attachment to the building's structural elements and effective thermal and acoustic insulation. The stability of the box is guaranteed by strong steel reinforcement and aluminium gypsum supports. The RKS roller shutter box is fully enclosed. Thanks to this, the system blends in perfectly with the architectural concept of the building. We can use any type of profile

Unusual solutions
Lintel roller shutters are undoubtedly a unique and innovative solution, designed to incorporate a security louvre system with a structural steel lintel. Blended into the structure of the building, the lintel of the roller shutter provides discreet and enhanced aesthetics with increased security. The lintel design can be adapted to suit traditional timber frame and modular external construction. Popular applications include schools and colleges, health and social care facilities, community and sports centres, commercial buildings and prestigious residential estates. On request, GM PLAST can supply details of a specially developed roller shutter and can provide extensive customer service. Fully insulated box around the roller shutter, Removable panel allows access to the roller shutter for maintenance When the roller shutter is in the raised position, the window or door opening does not differ in appearance from other structural openings. In the lowered position, the system undoubtedly provides a secure barrier against intruders and vandalism.
